These photos have been taken in the Mexican perreras and on the streets of Mexico. The images show how difficult it is to scavenge for food, water and a safe place to rest. They are but a small example of the sad lives these animals lead and why AAOFUS works every day to change things for the better. Use your discretion when viewing.

AAUSY AND HER PUPS' STORY -
From Street Dog to Family Pet
This is Aausy, named after our organization. Starved, missing an eye and found caring for 2 of her own pups and 4 orphaned pups in Mexicali, Mexico, Aausy and her pups are now safe, being fed and cared for in a foster home in California where she will sleep tonight with a full stomach and not have to struggle to find a safe resting place for her pups. With generous support from a foster dad, and donations to Animal Advocates of the US, street dogs like Aausy will no longer have to struggle for a daily meal or search for safe, warm place to rest. Will you help us feed and care for another street dog or cat waiting for a kind look their way?

WENDY ADOPTED!
Wendy was rescued from the perrera in Tijuana. She was dumped there with her new born puppies, and was waiting to be put down after her puppies were put down. Marlene, a AAOFUS volunteer, brought her home. She was spayed and adopted by a wonderful family who have recently lost their Dalmatian. Thank you Marlene for giving this sweet dog an opportunity for a happy life! read more success stories |
